Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Felix's father Paul Felix is an ordained minister in the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. And her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix's talent for athletics was evident right from the day she was enrolled at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She came second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in only 10 weeks following her first attempt. In 2003, Felix was a senior in high school and signed a professional deal with the company that makes sports Adidas prior to matriculating in the University of Southern California where she completed her elementary education. Her first Olympic medal came during the 2004 Summer Olympics held at Athens Greece. Felix set the world junior record by the 200m race in 22.18 secs. She was the youngest world champion of 200 meters at the Helsinki World Championships. She defended this title in 2007, defeating her longtime Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix participated in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and consistently placed among the top three athletes in her respective events.
